Game Board
The box is cherry. The top is an inlaid marine picture, with arbutus ocean, darker arbutus sea bottom
oak rock, yellow cedar, holly and walnut kelp, and a variety of woods (walnut, amarello, yew, holly) for fish.
The checkerboard and backgammon board playing surfaces are holly, walnut, cherry, amarello, bird's eye maple.
They are held in the box with magnets. Inside the box are the playing pieces. Chessmen and checkers/backgammon
pieces of walnut and light coloured arbutus, and two sided othello discs of yellow cedar and walnut. See also the

Four Game Marine Theme Chest
Lift the sand dollar latch and open the top to lie flat.
Remove the playing surfaces (held in by magnets). Rotate the surfaces to create the backgammon and chess boards.
Chessmen -- King of the Sea could be an orca. But orcas have a matrilineal social system. Queen of the Sea could be
a chinook salmon. But in the U.S. a chinook is a king salmon. So I leave it to the players to decide.

Pawns are schools of rock fish.
