The boxes are 9 3/8 x 6 1/4 inches, designed to fit into concrete burial spaces at Royal Oak Burial Park, Victoria B.C. They are made of a type of cypress that grew on Royal Oak's grounds, a very  perfumed resinous wood. The boxes have hand-cut dovetail joints, and a bottom held in with a screw. They can have plain wood tops, or with an inlay such as this rose. Or they can have a person's initials carved into the top.
