The TV Cabinet Doors cover a cabinet holding a 42" TV. They are made from various
shop sawn veneers, 2 to 3 mm thick and glued to plywood to create an ocean scene. The green ocean is poplar, the sand bottom is arbutus,
the rocks camphor wood and spalted Garry oak, and the fish are a variety of walnut, planchonia, yew, maple etc. The kelp
holdfasts are holly, the stipes yellow cedar and the fronds walnut. Tubesnout fish hang out near the kelp bulbs, where they lay their eggs.
There are a few purple (heart) sea stars, and seapens growing in the sand are yellow amarello. The west coast has a shrub that is
small but very hard. It is Ocean Spray, appropriate for the carved door pulls.
