The Envelope table is 22" square, with a double top. To make it into a card table 31" square, the top is rotated 45 degrees
to expose the tops of the legs. A plunger underneath raises one of the top sections. Then all sections are folded out to rest
on the tops of the legs.
The top surface consists of thick shop-sawn veneers of arbutus, with walnut, holly, oak and six other woods. The
chess board is of holly and walnut surrounded by cherry veneer with Makassar ebony card suits.
