The table is elliptical, 36"x44" and 29" high, of sugar maple. The 8 perimeter inlays are set into arbutus discs. The
larger central orca inlay uses three veneer backgrounds to represent ocean, distant shore and sky. The veneers used are
2 to 3 mm thick and so can be sanded and refinished many times in the future. The inlays contain 14 different wood veneers.
The black bits are epoxy resin with lamp black mixed in.
